Magician of the year
Another week in NYC, another week of hard work and magic. Hope yours was good!
-Two-weeks running I’m posting a comedy clip for video of the week. This one is from Harry Anderson and HYSTERICAL. Actually, I love this guy so much I’ll just link a bunch of his clips from his role in the classic sitcom Cheers. Click here and here for to watch them.
-Just finished watching the new Simpsons Magic Special. It was cute and had a few of ‘insider’ magic references. Anytime someone can poke fun of Criss Angel is good too. If you missed it, you will be able to watch it here for a very limited time.
-Mind trick this week is something called an Afterimage. It’s easy and cool: stare at the tiny plus sign in the picture below for roughly 30 seconds, then instantly turn to the nearest wall. Keep looking at the wall (and blink a few times) and you’ll see something really cool appear. You’ll understand exactly why it’s called an Afterimage.
-Over at the Magic Castle they are having their 43 annual award ceremony. I don’t usually follow the super-geeky magic news like that, but I am curious to see who wins Magician of the Year. Will post as soon as the winner is announced (it’s damn-near impossible to get any information off of their website).
